Ingredients
- 1 cup milk (almond milk works well)
- 1 banana
- ½ cup berries
- 2 tbsp Hum & Crumble Hemp Protein Powder
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp pumpkin seed butter (you could also use almond butter or coconut oil)
- 1 tsp spirulina
Method
Blitz together in your food processor / smoothie maker and serve
Hemp powder is made from the seeds of the hemp plant and makes a great vegan protein, as it includes nine essential amino acids that we must obtain from our food. Protein is important for our growth, repair and to make enzymes and hormones. Hemp powder also provides essential fatty acids omega-3 and omega-6 in a ratio of 3:1. It also provides a rich source of fibre, vitamins and minerals including magnesium, calcium and iron.
