Justine’s path to yoga came about in many ways. Her mother had always practiced regularly and her grandmother developed her own daily practice from the 1950s that continued until she was well into her late 80s. Yoga was always part of Justine’s life during her time studying at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama but she only began to understand its benefits when managing a chronic illness and nothing else seemed to work. Justine is always generous and encouraging with how yoga, mindfulness and a gentle shift in lifestyle gave her back her life; and now she just wants to share this with others!
Justine teaches a variety styles including Restorative, Vinyasa Flow and Yin. She believes that the breath is at the heart of every practice and incorporates meditation whether it is relaxing and peaceful or with a focus on movement. She loves planning and sequencing her flows to be fun yet with purpose. Having been a teacher for over 20 years, it is one of her greatest passions; she teaches with energy and enthusiasm, always holding to heart her mentor’s advice “to teach every class as though it might be your last!”. In that way, every class is focused in the present moment.
Justine believes that yoga is a continuous journey of learning and is always seeking out more knowledge that she can incorporate into her classes. When not on her yoga mat, she enjoys time with her family and friends, and is currently enjoying having a new puppy in her life!
