Tam Handley

Acupuncture, Therapist

Tam Handley is a fully licensed acupuncturist and holds a professional licentiate in acupuncture from The Acupuncture Academy in Leamington Spa. She is a member of the British Acupuncture Council and has undertaken fertility CPD with Australian fertility specialist Kirsten Wolfe.

She specialises in Five Elements acupuncture, which treats the individual as a whole. She is passionate about helping clients to maximise their health and has experience in treating various physical and mental conditions including sleep, anxiety, stress, chronic pain, digestive issues, low motivation and energy, brain fog, hormone imbalance and menstrual issues.

Tam was drawn to acupuncture after experiencing the benefits for herself. She originally sought treatment after a period of insomnia and not only saw an improvement in her sleep, but noticed a huge shift in her overall wellbeing, a reduction in stress, and improvements in her digestion. Needless to say she was hooked and decided to retrain.

She particularly loves acupuncture for its ability to combat stress, and address any complaint that has an emotional or ‘unexplained’ imbalance at its foundation. Emotions are part of everyday life, but when prolonged or repressed can have a negative impact on our mental and physical wellbeing. She believes everything is connected, and whereas conventional medicine may view symptoms in isolation, acupuncture provides a framework to see how everything fits together.

Tam offers a free 15 minute consultation to discuss how acupuncture could support your health and wellbeing, get in touch with her to book.

What to expect

The first session is 1.5 hours long and includes taking a detailed case history about your health and wellbeing which will help Tam create a bespoke treatment plan for you, and make lifestyle and dietary recommendations. The number of sessions needed is different from person to person. Some people start to feel better straight away but most need 2/3 treatments. The effects are cumulative so it is usually best to come for a few weekly treatments to begin with if you can.

Tam offers a discount for NHS workers and blue light badge holders.
